Starting with the facebook application development process Part-1

Lets start with the basic steps of Facebook Application Development. I will show you the complete process to develop a great Facebook app but there are some steps to register application at Facebook. Lets list some steps below to register first:

Step #1 – Create Application:

login your Facebook account and open this URL to register application http://www.facebook.com/developers/createapp.php. Write the Application Name, select Terms with the click on Agree and click Create Application button.  lets have a look Figure #1

Step #2 – Security Check:

This step will take you a Captcha Page for human verification which is mandatory at everywhere. Look at Figure #2:

Step #3 – Edit Application

After the above two steps you will land on Edit Application page which means application registered at Facebook. This time you have to configure your application like: Application Url, Application username etc…

Red marked fields are mandatory to complete register process. Let me explain what the red borders denote.

This tab takes you the information where you put the “Connect with Facebook” button. You have to write down the URL and Site Domain where will you put the button.

This step takes information for the Facebook Application.

1. Canvas Page (A unique canvas name)
2. Canvas URL (An url of your website where you will put all files of your application)
3. IFrame Size (This option work when application height will exceed to 1000px)

Facebook assigns you an Application ID, API Key and App secret which helps you to manage your development.
